I’m Dr. Charliette Cummings, a mission-driven founder, community advocate, and strategist committed to making dementia and Alzheimer’s care more accessible, compassionate, and human.
My work was inspired by my mother, Clara D. Young, whose life and legacy continue to shape my commitment to supporting families affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In her honor, I founded Clara Cares Memory, Clara’s House and Community Center, and the Clara D. Young Legacy Foundation.
As Founder and CEO of Clara Cares Memory, I lead the development of an AI-powered caregiver support platform designed to connect families with trusted education, wellness tools, local resources, legal and financial guidance, and meaningful community connections.
I also serve as Founder and CEO of Clara’s House and Community Center and President of the Clara D. Young Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on dementia and Alzheimer’s support, caregiver education, and affordable memory-care solutions for underserved families. Through Clara’s House, my vision is to create a homelike memory-care community in Pleasant Grove, Dallas, where families can access quality care without being excluded by income.
In addition, I am President and CEO of Clanet Strategic Consulting, where I use strategy, leadership, and partnership development to help organizations grow their impact.
My work is rooted in one belief: families navigating dementia deserve more than crisis-driven care. They deserve trusted guidance, dignity, affordable options, and a community that walks with them every step of the way.
